A short film depicts the creation of Sculpting Reality – THE HOUSE SCULPTURE by Canadian artists Jacky Georges Lafargue and Louis Couturier, who were inspired by Gordon Matta-Clark and his concept of Anarchitecture.
The duo describes the new temporary House Sculpture as "a dynamic architecture that acts as a visual and physical passage between the forest and the Gulf of St. Lawrence" in the remote Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine region of eastern Quebec. The insertion of a galvanized steel culvert turns a fairly generic one-story house in the town of Sainte-Madeleine-de-la-Rivière-Madeleine (see the house's before state at Google Maps) into both a physical tunnel and, as depicted in the 7-minute film, a viewfinder.
