The Glass House has posted a couple videos from its annual summer party, one of Philippe Petit performing an "Aerial Surprise" and the other a "walking history" with photographer David McCabe.
The summer party took place on June 8, 2019, seventy years after Philip Johnson completed his now iconic Glass House in New Canaan, Connecticut. High-wire artist Philippe Petit, who also turned 70 this year, performed at the party, walking above the lawn in front of the Glass House and "entering" it from the roof and brick cylinder protruding above it.
The Glass House, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, also created a short film in which photographer David McCabe walks the property and recalls his 1964 visit to the Glass House, part of a year-long assignment documenting artist Andy Warhol's life and work.
