OJB Named ASLA Firm of the Year

The American Society of Landscape Architects has announced its 2015 honors recipients. Selected by the ASLA’s Board of Trustees, the honors include the Landscape Architecture Firm Award being given to The Office of James Burnett.
The Firm Award is considered the highest honor ASLA may bestow upon a landscape architecture firm in recognition of distinguished work that influences the profession. OJB was founded by James Burnett in 1989 in Houston and now employs 45 professionals working in Houston, San Diego, and Boston. Among numerous notable projects, OJB designed the Park at Lakeshore East, which we highlighted in our recent feature on 21st century architecture in Chicago.

ASLA Design Medal: Thomas Balsley
Jot D. Carpenter Teaching Medal: Carl Steinitz
LaGasse Medal – Non-Landscape Architect: Gregory Long
Olmsted Medal: Design Trust for Public Space
Medal of Excellence: City of Scottsdale and McDowell Sonoran Conservancy
Community Service Award: Randolph Hester Jr.
