Premiering at the Maison des Arts de Créteil in November 2014, Pixel melded the real and the virtual, as this short film with excerpts from the one-hour performance illustrates.
Choreographed by Mourad Merzouki and composed by Merzouki with Adrien Mondot and Claire Bardainne, Pixel is described by the latter as "a work on illusion combining energy and poetry, fiction and technical achievement, hip hop and circus."
The interaction of people, space and virtual imagery reminds us of some films we've featured in the past, such as Bot & Dolly's Box, What's He Building in There?, and the work of Urbanscreen.
