The Danish Architecture Center (DAC) launches a podcast series, The Architecture City, with a conversation about BLOX, the new building in Copenhagen by OMA - Office for Metropolitan Architecture that houses the DAC among numerous other functions.
Host Frederikke Aagaard chats with Ellen Van Loon, the OMA design partner responsible for BLOX, and architect Kent Martinussen, CEO of the DAC. The goal is to learn "about the design of this new landmark and the conversation it is sparking in the city," but given that The Architecture City is a podcast it lacks the visuals necessary when talking about buildings. So head on over to the OMA profile to look at BLOX and then play the podcast below or on the DAC website to hear about the intentions behind the design and the many opinions of a building eleven years in the making.
