Hanseplatz

 Back to Projects list
Location
Korbach, Germany
Year
2013

The residential and commercial building on Hanseplatz 1 is one of six completed buildings of the new “Hanseplatz Quartier”, which was built in 2013, in the Hansestadt of Korbach.

The alternating number of storeys, the lively roof structures, the incisions in the entrance portals and the winter gardens attached to the apartments create a balanced sense of tension. Facade with a lively surface: Due to the exposed location, it quickly became clear that the building had to be given a facade that was commensurate with the urban planning meaning and had a presence. The chosen hand-moulded facing brick has a lively surface. The colour of the joints was alternated in light and dark to delinate the individual volumes
