Multigenerational House Bahnhofstrasse Dietlikon
Back to Projects list- Year
- 2021
A multigenerational house for a family was built in a difficult situation in terms of building law. High noise pollution from the cantonal road and railway tracks, encroaching building lines and unfavourable building ground conditions as well as a tight budget influenced the project. In terms of urban development, the building marks the beginning of a residential area. The design with a pitched roof not only emphasises the building typology as a residential dwelling, but also makes optimal use of the reduced depth of the building. A large round window offers spectacular views of the foothills of the Alps and gives the building an unmistakable appearance.
Three flats suitable for the elderly are being built with contemporary furnishings. Usage-neutral rooms ensure that the flats can be used flexibly. The garage access takes advantage of the terrain and is at ground level. The building makes do with little building services and relies on sustainable and durable materials.
The property was handed over to the client after completion of the outer shell; interior fittings, materials and garden design were carried out by the client with our support.
