Communication Center and Office Building Wieland
Pforzheim, Germany
- Architects
- Peter W. Schmidt
- Location
- Pforzheim, Germany
- Year
- 2003
This building forms a boundary to the Wieland site, making a firm statement in an exposed position, highly visible beside the future intersection of the western bypass. Previously offering nothing to catch the eye, now the highway lane has a point of interest. The new building may be said to create a western gateway to the town. Along eith the earlier oval structure of the Dental communication center and the redesigned reception area, the new building represents another step in the process of creating an appropriate image for this international company. The reinforced concrete shell construction with its system of uprights and flat roofs ensures maximum flexibility of use.
