“This is where Berlin eats” has been the motto since mid-January of the top floor of the Bikini Berlin between the Zoo and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. After one year of construction, the Foodmarket Kantini opened its doors and has since thrilled foodies, design, and architecture enthusiasts alike. The new gastronomic hot spot builds on the hip lifestyle of the Concept Shopping Mall Bikini Berlin and, with its innovative design concept, combines humor and cheerfulness with casual Berlin charm.
The design studio Aisslinger, under the direction of designer Werner Aisslinger, planned the 1,800 square meter area of the Kantini Foodmarket, creating a refreshing lifestyle landscape with unusual material combinations and colorful installations. Various seating - from sofa benches to sitting steps and swings - invite guests of all ages to linger. The absolute highlight of the food market is the light-flooded loggia with an 18-meter-long panoramic window and a direct view of Berlin Zoo’s bird aviary.
