The new German embassy in Nicosia presents itself as a compact, 5-storey cube stacked from squared sandstone blocks typical for Cyprus. Generous internal facade openings are covered by regularly two-storey loggias, which form an appropriate transition from the inside towards the outside and at the same time provide a natural buffer against the heat load. The garden facilities are divided into various intensively usable areas: In the west the form al entrance square, in the north and the east the parking lots under the shady roof of tree tops and in the south the green tip of the property, which pushes far into the roadside and - as " the Green Bug" – will help to coin the image of Germany on Cyprus.
