A residential and services building constructed on Zurich West’s Pfingstweidstrasse as part of the overall Hardturm Park development project. The volume forms an urban block with interior courtyard.
The south wing along Pfingstweidstrasse marks its presence at the important city gateway entrance where duplex apartments boast magnificent views that reach as far as Uetliberg, and are reached via an arcade, and offer a high degree of privacy thanks to a private atrium.
The apartments in the park wing are designed as double facing, thus benefiting from the courtyard and parking spaces simultaneously. The side wing accommodates spatially exciting split-level units. Overall, the quality of living is enhanced by above-average interior ceiling heights, generous bathrooms, and flexible room arrangement through sliding elements.
With the diversity of the apartments, the high degree of privacy despite the project’s density, and a shared rooftop terrace and pool, many important aspects of social sustainability are achieved.
