The couple, both ophthalmologists, purchased a small, deep lot in a quiet residential area in order to build a house where they could enjoy their hobby of listening to music without anxiety. The light that pours in through the dry area creates a highly habitable space that one would not expect to find in a basement. The balcony balustrade, which is overhung to secure the pilotis garage and the entrance, is made of wooden horizontal louvers with a random appearance. Despite the closed design, sufficient ventilation is ensured. The balcony is designed to block the view from the street while creating an accent on the façade.

In contrast to the first floor, where private spaces such as the master bedroom and children's room are mainly located, the family room is located on the second floor. The generous plan of the gabled roof is characterized by a "neck" cut by two courtyards. The high-sided glass allows views and light to enter the interior, making the space very open. Next to the living room, a tiled wall borders a single room for the water area. The wooden ceiling is connected to the living room through a high transparent glass window, creating a spacious and open space that is not divided between the two rooms. The wooden horizontal louvers peeking out from the interior accentuate the space and ensure sufficient privacy. In addition to the stoic unity created by the simplicity of the interior materials, the combination of concrete and wood and the motif of the gable roof create a unique warmth in the space. These design techniques, which make one forget that this is a densely populated residential area, are representative of urban solutions.
