Surrounded by meadows and fields, a lively community that wants to live with nature can unfold in two apartment buildings.
The two-storey wooden buildings offer space for 24 residential units, designed for people at different stages of life who are allowed to cultivate their communal green spaces together.
The relationship with nature should be encouraged - the square buildings seek contact with the surroundings, while the floor-to-ceiling windows bring the landscape inside. Cantilevered, wrap-around balconies extend all apartments osmotically towards the surrounding countryside.
The architecture also resonates with nature - building materials and use are sustainable and flexibly designed for natural living comfort. Wherever possible, natural, untreated materials were used inside and out, predominantly wood.
Photovoltaic modules are used to generate electricity for the buildings. Two brine-water heat pumps provide hot water and the necessary warmth in the cold season. Articulated arm awnings for the balconies and vertical awnings for the windows provide thermal insulation in summer.
