The Frankfurt-based architecture office Hollin + Radoske have completed the interior design of the new restaurant Stanley Diamond. Commissioned by the brothers James and David Ardinast and Oskar Melzer, the new in-restaurant is located in Frankfurt’s Ottostrasse, north of the central station. Known for the creation of exclusive and distinct spaces that translate the character of a brand into high-end interiors, also the design of Stanley Diamond reflects the restaurant’s uniqueness as well as the architects’ brand sensibility.
In close cooperation with the restaurant’s owners, Hollin + Radoske developed a brand architecture concept that toys with strong contrasts and deliberate breakes of materials, colours and textures. Running parallel to Ottostrasse, the long dining area is central scene for the distinct identity of Stanley Diamond, also featuring a window facade that can be opened to the street in summer. Opulent green marble on the walls and bar alternating with a porous, rose stained screed floor and made-to-measure galvanised metal ceiling, masterly stages the cultivated contrasts of globality and regionality, progressivness and tradition. Coarse-grained apple tree veneer and upholstered seating furniture in rich red and green designed by e15, complete the sensitive colour, texture and material collage. As often in projects by Hollin + Radoske, also here the guest is stimulated to confront with the space and its overall impact.
