Tasked with designing a multistory restaurant building with terraces, the architects focused on how to make each floor’s terrace uniquely attractive. Medium-rise office buildings and condominiums as well as low-rise residences surround the site.
To determine the placement of the terraces, the architects considered how the structure should open onto this surrounding environment at various heights. They settled on a design in which the terraces circle the building like an ascending staircase, linking with one another to lend a sense of unification to the structure as a whole.
