Zaha Hadid Architects was a big winner at the 17th annual ABB LEAF Awards, which "celebrate, discuss and honor some of the best new international architectural projects according to their specific criteria."
The awards were given out in fourteen categories during a gala ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany, last month. The shortlist of projects was announced in July. The judges included Roland Bechmann (Werner Sobek), Kai-Uwe Bergmann (BIG), Andrew Bromberg (Aedas), Peter Cook (Crab Studio), Peter Cerno (Cerno Architekten), Alan Crawford (Crawford Partnership), Werner Frosch (Henning Larsen), Ciara Gormley (PDP), Viviana Muscettola (Zaha Hadid Architects), Tateo Nakajima (Arup), Alireza Razavi (Studio Razavi), Paolo Rossi (SOM), Christina Seilern (Studio Seilern), Bob Sheil (Bartlett School of Architecture), Cees Van der Spek (OVG), and Thomas Willemeit (Graft).
