After a full day of live presentations to judges, the first award winners of the 2018 World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Amsterdam have been announced.
WAF, now in its eleventh year -- and its first in Amsterdam -- is set up in a unique crit format, in which architects shortlisted in numerous categories present their projects in ten minutes to a three-person jury, which then asks questions about the project. The categories fall into two general types: Completed Buildings and Future Projects; winners in the former are in the running for Building of the Year, and those in the latter vie for Future Project of the Year, both announced on Friday. Day one winners from Wednesday, November 28, are listed below with day two winners following, logically, tomorrow.
