This is an annex for a couple who are deaf and their children located in a crowded place in Tokyo.

The small windows play an important role in visualizing outside information such as fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances. They also protect privacy.

Children will notice by dropping a small toy from the opening in the floor toward the dad downstairs. The sign language that is their communication begins there. For family members who do not have communication that jumps over walls and floors like "Voice", sign language has become communication that jumps over walls and floors, just like "Voice", through the opening.

When the father comes home, he shakes the tree downstairs in the signal of coming home. Children will gladly run into the floor opening. The floor opening is netted with safety measures to prevent children from falling.
