In memory of Swiss artist David Weiss, who died on April 27, 2012, here is an excerpt of the 30-minute film Der Lauf der Dinge (The Way Things Go), his best-known project with longtime collaborator Peter Fischli. Originally exhibited in 1987 at “Documenta 8” in Kassel, Germany, the humorous and poetic work shows a series of everyday objects propelling themselves across a large studio space, creating an explosive chain reaction.
