Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano founded Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos in 1985 after both graduated from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP). In the "Past" clip Sobejano talks about his time at GSAPP in New York City in the early 1980s, which was much a different experience than Madrid and taught him, among other things, how to argue, present, and communicate a project. With offices in Spain and Germany, he explains in the "Present" clip how the offices are organized, each responding to their respective context. Lastly, like other architects interviewed by Itinerant Office, Sobejano sees optimism as one of the most important traits for architects in the "Future."
