Living in the micro-morphology of a city
"The site" of this project is a garage at the corner of a 35-year-old residence with a clinic built in RC construction and a single room in adjacent apartment located in the central part of Tokyo. The garage is changed into a "doma" (traditional transitional space with earthen floor) living room with a workplace, and the single room in the apartment is rent for a bedroom. While the road that connects them is considered as a large external corridor, the "doma" is regarded as "Annex" of a bedroom, and the bedroom as "Annex" of a "doma" as well. It is a project that a family of three (parents and a child) moves in and out "Annex of Annex" where there is no relationships such as main or subordinate.
