A set of three vacation homes were designed for a three friends, on a sloping site overlooking paddy fields and a tributary of the Mandovi river near Aldona in Goa. The site was located on an erstwhile cashew plantation. The project sought to maximize the beautiful vistas from within each individual unit while at the same time preserving the natural landscape of the site. The residential units, with their horizontal plinths floating above the ground to create a level datum, and lightweight roofs were thought like tents on a camping site. The houses were clustered around a central garden courtyard, envisaged as a perfect place for enjoying a meal or socializing with friends while on vacation.
