A four-storey building is built in Bad Homburg as the headquarters of the insurance company Basler Securitas: two cubes, offset against each other but visually connected by their bright natural stone and glass front.

Natural materials define both the exterior and the interior design of the building, and extend to all of its areas: The natural stone used for the facade is also used for the floors in the entrance area, and even the reception desk rises seamlessly from the floor as a monolithic stone element. The look-and-feel of the facade thus merge with the building‘s interior, blending out- and inside in the entrance hall. Glass dividing walls line both sides of the foyer. They offer views of the guest area and the conference rooms, creating a generous and transparent atmosphere. Contrasting with the stone materials of the entrance area, walnut floors are used in the guest area, cafeteria and conference rooms. Textured surfaces (e.g., the slotted outside cladding of the management‘s dining area) make for a lively general impression.
In the context of these natural materials, a friendly yellow-greenish colour accents public areas in the ground level, for example the back-painted glass panels in the guest area and the cafeteria.

The floors one to three offer two coffee points for refreshment and recreation. Again, natural stone and walnut timber are used for the floor to mark the waiting and recreation areas at the coffee points. Walnut wood is also used for the interior joinery, creating a warm, three-dimensional body made of this material. A warm orange-brown colour tone denote the intimacy of the upper floors -- e.g., in the upholstery of the bar stools and in the felt-covered ceiling panels.

In the management area on fourth floor, the hallway opens into a lounge area, where high quality furniture and deep pile carpets create a pleasant club atmosphere. The colour scheme repeats the warm orange-brown tone from lower floors.
