Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga founded their eponymous practice in Barcelona in 2004. Barozzi explains in the "Past" clip that the beginnings of the firm were fortuitous: While waiting for a visa to return to the US for studies he entered and won a competition, subsequently setting up the office instead of studying abroad. As is clear when looking at their built work, each Barozzi / Veiga project is unique; or as Barozzi says in the "Present" clip, they're not interested in "a continuous language" for their projects. Optimism and passion are the most important traits for "Future" architects; without those traits, working in what Barozzi calls "this beautiful profession" is very difficult.
